Hi, I have a 1974 85hp johnson hydro-electric outboard motor. First of all, the motor will not charge my battery. For some reason after several times of usage, the battery starts throwing sparks when I try to start the motor. I have purchased 2 batteries already. After using the battery 2 or 3 times the battery sparks and then completely dies. Worst of all, when I try to charge the battery with a portable charger, the battery will throw sparks and not take current. This past time I purchased a heavy duty battery thinking the the motor needed a bigger more powerful battery but it still does the same thing. <br />I will appreciate any help anyone can give me<br /><br /> hplanas@yahoo.com
