Can a 1999 Evinrude Ficht 90 HP be updated to Bombardier 2002 Specifications? Is all of the updates in the software or are there mechanical changes to parts?
Check with a 'Rude dealer.<br /><br />I believe that the complete upgrade includes new heads and other hardware as well as ECU software.<br /><br />Good luck.
The is not enough computer capacity in the '99, it was changed in 2000 for the FICHT Ram series. Sorry, there is no economical way to change your motor to a 2002 or later style. There are many internal and external parts changes also.
Comment, I looked at a 1999 150 Ficht yesterday, has the upgrade kit for that engine. Owner say engine always ran great with no problems, before and after kit installed.
