Hello,
I'm having problems with my tilt and trim. It just clicks when I press up and down.

I tried releasing the oil-pressure screw and I managed to lift it up. When I let fall down again, it stopped when i reached the two trim-cylinders.

As I understand the two smaller cylinders is for trimming and the big one is for tilting, right?

Is there another screw for releasing pressure in the trim-cylinders?

Re: evinrude 110 trim

The pressure in the Trim cylinders cannot be released manually.

It's possible that there is some corrosion in the connection between the PTT electric motor and the relay box. Trace the wires from the PTT electric motor up to the box/connector and unplug it.

The electric motor is a dual polarity motor, meaning that the battery + and - voltage is applied to both wires.... not to one wire and the other battery wire to ground. Having both battery wires applied to the electric motor wires makes the electric motor run in one direction. Reversing the battery wires causes it to run in the opposite direction.

As explained above, apply the battery voltage directly to the PTT electric motor wires. If the motor runs, it is okay and the problem is elsewhere.... corrosion, low voltage, broken wire, something of that nature.

So there is no way to lower the engine completly without the electric motor?
