Thank You all for the help in finding out the year of my Johnson K-35. I also have an Evinrude that I cannot find a model or serial #. All I can find is a decal that says -
- TRADE MARK
- EVINRUDE
- DETACHABLE ROW-BOAT MOTOR
Can anyone help me as to where the #'s may possibly be located.

Cal Omoth - in Canada

Look on the powerhead for a silver welsh plug for numbers. Looks like a freeze plug.

A Johnson K-35 shows it to be a: K-35 6HP 1927. Sound right as being that old?

Rick
I am quite sure the Johnson is that old and the Evinrude looks antique compaired to the 1927 Johnson. Thanks for the info, will have closer look for a plug.
Cal - in Canada

I would not worry about looking for other numbers, as this is correct. I don't know what it's worth would be, but it's a keeper as it is a true antique! :)

Re: Looking For Model #

Evinrude advertised the 1926 model as "detachable". If you want the ad I can post it.
