The motor is hard to start and stalls every couple of minutes so I removed the diaphram, Oh boy. A small spring fell out,and a large spring is kinda hanging around. I have everything, just not sure of the sequence of how it all goes back together. If someone can DRAW me a picture that would be awsome.

Scottbest@earthlink.net

Hi, Forceluver.

It isn't a good idea to ask for illegal copies of copyrighted material.

You can make a legal copy at a library, but your best bet if you plan to work on the engine is to buy or borrow a manual.

Good luck. :)

Hey Forceluver, maybe I can talk you through this without violating any copyright laws. When you look at the fuel pump cover on the diaphragm side you should see a small circular area with a hole in the middle. The small spring goes between this and the diaphram, centered over the hole with the smooth surface facing the diaphram. On the pump body side of the diaphragm, the large opening with the check valves and the post in the middle is the location for the big spring. Center it on the post with the smooth surface facing the diaphram. Hope this helps. I agree with JB that a manual is the outboard owner/fixer's best friend.

I agree about the manual, Its just that I got a great deal on the motor, and I was hoping to have no out of pocket extras. Though I did not expect the pump to be rocket science.

Scott
