Hi Guys,

Just picked me up a little Seahorse 4hp for $US100. Looks a bit rough, but seemed to go OK. The model # is 4BR77B, serial # A616739. I'll use it as a backup on my sailig dinghy for when the wind dies (I've gone from owning big yachts to little day sailors...much more fun and a lot less strain). Anyway can anyone tell me the year of my new toy? Also, any advice as to what to look out for? (apart from changing the impellor). I'll photocopy a manual from the library soon, but in the meantime what does the "caution" sign say near the big phillips head screw on the top cover ...mine's faded....can't be too careful....heh heh.

Cheers, Phil.

Thanks for that...quick too :)

It's sooo nice to get a bit older and just enjoy the simple things in life again....like playing around with a cheap outboard instead of doing your head in with worry over a fancy marine diesel that's playing up big-dollar time.

The water's the fun....not the boat.
