WHICH OF 2 BOATS TO BUY HELP!! QUICK

I AM GOING SATURDAY TO TEST DRIVE A TRITON 2001 TR 21 PD THAT HAS A BRAND NEW 2005 225 OPTIMAX THAT HAS FULL WARRANTY UNTIL 2007 AND APPEARS TO BE IN VERY GOOD SHAPE AND WELL MAINTAINED. THE OTHER BOAT IS A 2000 COBRA VIPER 20FT WITH A 225 OPTIMAX THAT HAS A LITTLE WARRANTY LEFT, I THINK UP TO APRIL 05 BUT... THIS BOAT IS ONE OF THE BEST LOOKING BASS BOATS I HAVE EVER SEEN IT ALSO HAS EVERY OPTION ON THE BOAT AND TRAILER.AND HAS BEEN EXTREMELY !!!!! WELL MAINTAINED AND SERVICED. BOTH ARE PRICED VERY CLOSE TO EACH OTHER HELP I WANT TO TAKE ONE HOME THIS WEEKEND.

With an OptiMax you want as much warranty as you can get. I'm not a fan of extended warranties, but for Opti's I definately urge customers to get them. If it didn't already have an extended warranty and the warranty hasn't expired, it would be a wise investment for either motor.<br /><br />Get the BOAT you prefer. Motors can be swapped-out.

Agreed, and if the 225 on the cobra is still under warranty until April you likely have until then to purchase an extended warranty on it. <br /><br />Sounds like you want the viper but the warranty is holding you back. Look into your extended warranty options and then decide. <br /><br />Good luck with whatever one you choose.
