My 1993 88 SPL does not have a in-line fuel filter in the engine compartment.
It does have a water seperator/fuel filter and the filter on the fuel pump.

Is it supposed to have a in-line fuel filter?
The manual indicates one is supposed to be there.
The local marine mechanic said that year didnt have one in-line.

TPD.

If you have a water seperating fuel filter between the tank and the primer bulb you don't need another one.

Good luck. :)

JB,

The bulb is on the tank side of the water seperator, is that OK?

Re: Fuel Filter question

Works better if you keep the water out of the primer bulb, TPD.

Thanks JB, I'll move it to the other side.

Re: Fuel Filter question

If you move it and the filter gets empty it can be a real bear to get primed. Especially if its an aftermarket bulb with no check valves. Primer bulbs are better at "pushing" rather than "pulling".

Good luck!
