Finally gotten motor running right after it has been sitting up for years. Backed it in water today and tested it. I have a couple of questions maybe someone can help me with? First, I noticed the motor smoking. (white smoke) I am running 50:1 mixture. I am wondering if it could a problem interally with the motor or steam. I have replaced the thermostat and impeller. but the block still feels hot. I can pour a hand full of water and it will not sizzle or steam. Second, while underway the telltale does not pee as hard as it does while the boat is sitting still. There still is a steady stream of water though. I am wondering if these is enough to cool the motor? Or if the motor is postioned lower enough in the water??
