I recently attempted to change the tires on my trailer and in doing so caused the trailer to slam to the ground (on one side after a cinder block gave, which was supporting the trailer). This resulted in the skag to my motor to strike the ground, but upon inspection it looked like the floor recieved the damage and not the engine. I then trimmed the motor up, and then back down again, and after a short period I noticed a very small amout of oil beginning to leak from the propeller area of my 1999 90hp engine. Any suggestions>>>???

Take off the prop and see where it is coming from.If the prop hit the ground ,you may have damaged the prop seal.Is it gear oil coming out or is it a black cruddy looking oil???Charlie

Chuck....as crazy charlie posted, if the prop hit the ground, damage to the seals could be cause. Or, if just the skeg hit the ground, the lower unit may have been bent outta round causing the bearing carrier o-ring to leak. Like charlie said, remove the prop and see where it's coming from....the lower unit or exhaust. And don't use concreted blocks any more..
