Idle Timing for a 84 60hp

Anybody know what the timing should be at a idle for a 84 60hp? The reason I ask is the rod that links the carb to the stator assembly was bad and I need to adjust it now.

Throttle pick-up timing is 2*-4* btdc.<br /><br />c/6<br />Hooty

k i have omost the same moter as him its a 60 hp 1982 and it will not fire it has good compression 125 each cylinder its a 2 cylinder and it blew a power pack last year so i changed that and the rectifier and got spark back but now no start so i rebuilt the carbs started once brought it to the tralor and now it wont go changed the coils last week end still wont go fires once but wont stay running coulde it be the timing or the fuel pump not working or because i have the air cover off of the front of the carbs help please driving me crazy
