Hi horsefly

We would need a Model number to verify the year. Can't get it by serial number. I'm not familiar with the 2HP, but I'm sure others are. See if you can locate the model number in the meantime. Something like 2R72, 2r73, Ect.. Try the same place you found the serial number or look on the transom bracket for other numbers.

Hi Horsefly,
Your motor has a rubber plunger pump. Typically, the cam wears on the center hole, making the plunger plunge less and less as it wears. You might be able to make a sleave or something to take up the slack... I'm not sure if anyone is making replacement impellers for those or not. Might want to try over at the www.aomci.org links page.
- Scott
