Hi all could someon tell me what year the 130hp was manufactured.I have been toled it came out in 1994 some say it dident come out till 1995. could someone clear this . thanks in advance.

1994 was indeed the first production year. The wiring connections changed in 1996 but the motors are all basically the same V4 looper design.<br /><br />Good luck!

Hi Dhadley. I need your help again I am looking at purchasing a 130 hp Johnson I have the sereal no but no model#. searial# G03755134J. Hope you can tell me if this is a 1994 or 1995 thanks verry mutch for your help. Claude.

Hi thank you everyone for the help. I have purchesed this boat and motor which is a 1995 130 hp johnson. the operator manual calls for QL77JC4 plugs,i was sold QL82YC as replacement i noticed that the electrode is longerby 1/8 of an inch is this the wrong plug . someone please advise me excuse the bad typing. claude 70.

The 82 Yc's will work fine. Slightly longer reach is OK in that motor. I prefer the QL77JC4's in mine as they are slightly cooler.<br /><br />Nice motor. Good luck!
