I'd like to replace my over-temp "idiot horn" with a gauge that allows me to read actual temperature. Is there an after market kit that supplies the gage with the sending unit to replace the existing temp unit? If so, any suggestions on where I can purchase it?
Thanks

Leave the horn hooked up. There's a temp gauge kit that has a temp sending unit that connects, I think, either under a head bolt or head cover bolt. Check with your friendly OMC dealer.
If you don't have a water pressure gauge, I'd opt for that instead of the temp gauge. It's more dependable. Your friendly OMC dude should have it also.

c/6
Hooty

Thanks Hooty. I'll take your advice and go for the water pressure gage. I figure that kills 2 birds with one stone (lets me know if my water pump is OK, and if not, I know my over-heat horn will soon go off!!!)

I'm one of those who closed the barn door after all the animals bolted. Now I have the original horn + temp + pressure.
