Hi am new here and have been doing a lot of reading (tons of good stuff) glad to see such an active forum.

I was Just given an old starcraft with a johnson 100 (100esl 72r) I was told that it has not been run for some time, 12years or so, he did seem confident that it was a real trooper and would be pretty easy to start.
Aside from impellor, a carb cleaning and any fuel line trouble, is there anything else I should be worried about?
I gather from the model #s it is a 72. what does the ESL and the R stand for?

I was aware of the lower lube, I have an OMC form 76 on my other boat, a 120 i/o. What is this other forum you were talking about?
