Model Numbers

Hi <br />I know you guys must have been asked a thousand times before but what is the code word for the Johnson Model numbers.... and how is it interprated to find out year, HP, place of manufacture etc???<br />Cheers<br />Steve

I-N-T-R-O-D-U-C-E-S<br />1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-0<br /><br />For example, Johnson 90 1983<br />J90TLCTE<br />The CT corresponds to 83<br />The J = Johnson<br />The 90 = HP<br />the T = Tilt/Trim<br />The L = Long shaft<br />CT ...83<br />E = Model run#<br /><br />Hope this helps<br />Dave

Looks like you got it Steve.<br />I didn't know about the BR designation though.<br />I think the "r" at the end is a manufacturing run number. The "r" after the "b" designates rope start.<br />Maybe someone more knowledgeable will chime in here. <br />Glad to help, Lord knows I'v gotten my share of help around this board.<br /><br />Dave

BR = Euro Rope Start<br />Last letter is the model run number(R)<br /><br />the rest is correct..
