(98 150)dead bank of cylinders=power pack?

the port side bank of cylinders is dead. I follow the wiring diagram and the common element seems to the power pack. What is a power pack? How much are they? Could it be a ground wire somewhere. Thanks for all your help.

Check shift switch, switch that is hanging, shorted, or sticking will kill three cylinders.

Test the Shift Switch. You will find this to be a wire coming from the shifting mechanism going up to the power pack. I had the same problem and turned out to be the switch. Just unplug it while the motors running and see if the cylinders don't fire up

What about the S.L.O.W. system? Doesn't that cut out a bank of cylinders as well? That is controlled by the port side temperature sensor. The non-tan wire I believe goes to the switchbox to kill half the motor.
