i have a 60 horsepower evinrude that is having carburetor problems... first of all there are three carburetor's and above the bowl's on each of the carburetor's there is a little hole that is covered with a wire mesh screen. these screens are on both sides of each carburetor. the problem is that when you "pump the bulb" to prime the carburetors gas comes spewing out of one of the holes on the bottom carburetor. it also spews out of the same whole when the motor is running... each time it came out of the same hole on the bottom carburetor... the motor still runs but not smoothly... any advice will be appreciated... thanks...

It sounds like to me you have float needles that do not seat anymore. This happened to me on my 150. Get new kits for all carbs including needles, seats, & floats. I think where the fuel is coming out are the float chamber vents.

Good luck
Duck L.
