I have a 96 150 fast strike and noticed a green wire below the bottom carbs that has a bullet type connector that was disconnected and I traced it down through the cowling and it connect to a bolt by the trim motor. the other half of it goes into a bunch of wires that I cant see where they go. so I believe that its a ground but what is it to and should I connect it.

Re: green wire question

it should be attached to the trim sending unit bolt - like the ground cable for the t/t motor.
then to a good ground.
manual shows to a battery ground.

Re: green wire question

It is connected to the bolt then It comes up through the cowling to right below the carb and that is wher e the bullet connector is and that is where it is disconected. So I take it I should connect it right?
