Hi all , im new at this great site.<br />Can anyone describe for me how to change impeller <br />on my engine.<br />English isnt my native language so i hope i will understand anyway.<br /><br />Regards / Nellie

The thing is that i have to change the impeller today.<br />We r going out with the boat tomorrow.<br />Can some one try to explain the change?<br /><br /><br />/ Nellie

Remove the bolts holding the lower unit to the powerhead. 4 on top on the plate above the prop and then the one on the "Fin" on the bottom of the lower unit and then with a deep socket, there is another one up inside where you removed the Fin.(6 bolts, altogether) The lower unit should drop a little(1/2"). If so, remove the shift rod linkage and remove the lower unit. Hopefully the LU is not stuck on by the driveshaft splines and will come right off. The impeller sits in a housing right on top of the lower unit. Can't miss it! This is a start, anyway.. If I missed anything, others will correct me.

Thanks for the answer.<br />I have removed all bolts but the space under the engine to remove shift rod linkage isnt much.
