Hiya,<br /><br />Yup... these are what folks nickname "muffs" 'cause they kinda look like ear muffs. You screw your hose into it, and then it fits over your water inlet opening on the lower unit. There are different sizes, should be available from a boat dealer or any place selling boating supplies.<br /><br />Or, you could use a "test tank". For my smaller motors I prefer running them in a gargage can over muffs. That way you can see what the water pump is actually pumping (not from the hose pressure), and the lower unit in the water provides the normal backpressure on the exhaust. Also with a test tank, you can put the motor in gear and test motor with a bit of load.<br /><br />If on muffs, idle will be high (no backpressure), exposed prop is dangerous (so don't run in gear). In either case, don't rev the engine high in neutral. <br /><br />Hope this helps.<br /><br />Brent
