I'm currently helping a friend fix the water pump on his '86 VRO. This pump and housing has been now been replaced and the lower unit reassembled. The old pump housing, thermostat and lower unit tubing was full of hard, dried sand, as the boat had been used extensively in shallow water by the grandfather. <br />The brand new impeller and housing went together ok, but when the boat is run on the hose, only a slight trickle comes through the tell-tale hole.<br />I'm wondering if we missed something, or if more plumbing/water jaket may also be clogged (no idea how to fix this).
