Re: wiring

Double check that model number. A V45 would indicate that the engine is a 1929-32 26hp Johnson.

Note: Be aware that when all the wires are cut on a engine, that indicates that the engine is stolen. Hopefully you've purchased it from the original owner who has had it returned to them.

Re: wiring

Your engine is a 1963 75hp V4, WGB.

You need a Repair Manual, which will include wiring diagrams.

Making a copy for you would be illegal. You can legally copy pages from the Manual at your library, but I recommend that you buy one.

The reason that you got no response earlier is that you didn't originally supply the needed information. By the time you did, there were several replies and other helpers assumed you had been helped and passed your post by.

This should help. http://www.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=17;t=009035

Good luck. :)

Re: wiring

Wanna.... If you have the connector with the cut wires attached, and the other cut portion attached to the engine, it's simply a matter of matching the wires up. The wires are color coded and no two are alike.
