Dhadley......Plenum Intake mod?

Can you explain the process of making these old Evinrude v4 intakes into a plenum style intake? I have heard about a nessecary carb mod that has to be done also. Can you elabrate on it for me?<br /><br />Thanks:<br />Jason

First call around and see if you can still get the old style carb mounting gasket. The Aqua Power number was 959. If you cant get those gaskets it wont work.

It was from the early 70's V4 OMC's. You have to tell them thats the Aqua Power number. The gaslet is straight across the bottom. The newer sty;e is a "V" shape across the bottom.

Where do you recomend I try looking for these gasket at? Try calling some of the old marine repair shops?<br /><br />Jason

This one ?? from Sierra (2003)catalog :<br />AP# 595 V-4 carburator mounting , replaces 315052 .
