battery connections on motor

I've got a '94 40hp Johnson that I'm putting together (someone else took it apart). don't worry, I'm getting the manual but I was hoping to get the cables made for the battery tonight. Can anyone tell me where the connections attach to the motor so I know what size ends to put on. I'm guess the positive goes to a solenoid and the negative goes to the block-but where?

haz,<br />There's a safety switch that figures in there also. My Seloc manual shows the pos. battery wire comes to one side of the solenoid, one terminal for the key switch, then the safety switch or ground and then a wire going to the starter from the solenoid. I think the actual starter grounds itself to the motor by the mounting bracket.
