Still wont start! POS Johnson

OK guys, i put new type c oil in, 2 new J6C plugs, fresh gas, oil, primed it, started ran for a second, then stalled, and wont start again. <br /><br />WHAT is with this thing? Is it a fuel pump issue? How hard is it to remove and clean it? Would that fix the problem? <br /><br />Also, what is that thing on the side of the carb that is attached to it? Looks like some sort of oil pump or something? <br /><br />Thanks guys i want to get this going i plan on taking it to our cottage Sunday!

what year and hp motor? do you own a manual, you sure could use one.

Howdy, Merc500.<br /><br />Have you been through the "Outboard wont start" FAQ?<br /><br />I second PMM's recommendation that you get a Repair Manual. <br /><br />I also recommend that you not start a second thread on a problem. It confuses people, including PMM and me.<br /><br />I am going to close this so that your original thread can tell the whole story.<br /><br />Good luck. :)
