Bennett M120's question

I cant remember who the 'Bennett' guy on here is so I'll throw this question out to anyone with experience mounting the M120 trim tabs. My boat has a lip around the center of the sides and transom, its kind of hard to explain but thats the only way I can explain it. The lip protrudes out about 1/2" and of course when installing my trim tabs the top of the actuator hits right in the middle of this lip preventing installation. I know Bennett has a shorter actuator they will exchange out which is probably what I will end up doing but my first question is is how much up and down will I lose with a shorter actuator? Second, if I move the existing actuator down to clear the lip will I always have a trim 'down' condition? It needs to drop about an inch and I assume the actuators are shipped close to the full up position. If any of you guys can help me out I'd appreciate it. Thanks,,,,

Re: Bennett M120's question

I just talked to Bennett, they said they can make actuators 1" shorter, 1" longer or 2" longer, whatever fits my needs. They also said there will be no loss in trim tab movement. These guys really have their stuff in order, I'll never buy or recommend another brand for sure!
