What is typical warm up time?

I know I made a mistake of casting off the dock without warming up first. I wanted to get off those tires that leave black marks all over the hull. Beginner mistake. What happened was the motor kept stalling when I put it in gear and went to take off. After re-starting/stalling about 15 times, I was underway.

Next time I will warm up the motor then cast off. How long does it take one of these 40hp twins to warm up? This is the first time I have had this problem. It usually just starts and goes. Have about 20 hours on the motor.

Takes a minute or two. If you want to take right off, just give the choke a few extra shots once it's runnung, then put it in gear and go.

This choke has me confused. Does the solinoid continue to give gas if it is held on or is it one dose each time it is turned on?

there has to be fuel pressure ie. pumped bulb or running. It will keep "choking" as long as it's got pressure.

The solonoid will deliver fuel as long as the key is held in-engine running.
