Hello,
I have noticed that my engine is having a hard time when boat is loaded in the stern.

I made a experiment with a friend:

First when he was sitting at the stern the engine was slow and hard to get going. There wasn't much happening when pulling the throttle for the first ~5 sec, and then it started accelerating.

Then my I put my friend in the front of the boat, and the engine reacted immediately on throttle.

When running at full speed, everything is working excellent.

Could it be that the engine isn't getting enough air or is it something else?

That is a perfect example of proper weight disribution. When your friend went up front it evened out the load and got you on plane quicker. Is this on a small boat with a small motor? Even larger boats with large motors suffer the same symptoms.. Finding the right combo is the key..

Well, perhaps I should put some deadweight in the front of the boat...

I have a 110 hp on a 6*2 m boat that weighs about 800 kg. So this is normal?

Do you have Tilt and Trim? Where is the cavitation plate in relation to the bottom of your hull? Do you tuck the motor in when you take off?
