leaking oil from power head base

i have a 1991 150hp evinrude.it runs good but when i set it up it leaks oil from pwerhead and also through small vent hole on right side of lower unit. is this serious? i tried to tighten the base it helped a little not much. how tight should the bolts be tourqued ?

Are you sure this is not residual fuel mixture in the cylinders that was not completely burned and has leaked down thru the exhaust? Some female made a similar post (it may have been under Mercury)I was reading yesterday.

Go to the Mercury section and find a post with ...9.9 black oil on driveway dated Aug. 19, 2004. I didi a search with "driveway" and it was 1st to come up. Read response and you should be good to go!!
