Lower unit problem

i like to know if a 90hp evenrude lower unit will work on a 135hp or do i need to get another 135hp lower unit for it

it's a 1977 on both lowerr unit

should the gears be the same or they diffrent and will the 90hp lower unit handle the 135hp moter if everything should bolt up or would u have problems in the long run if it works

just for your info, There is no such thing as a 1977 135 hp. 1976 was the last year, for 1977 they made a 140

that s right it is a 76 rude 135 and 90hp will the gears be the same or they diffrent and will the 90hp lower unit handle the 135hp moter if everything should bolt up or would I have problems in the long run if it works
