I have a 92 150hp Ocean runner. I thought I had resolved fuel restriction issue and ran fine 2 trips out for about 3hr total run time. Ran great until second trip which was about 45 min out could not run at low rpm with out alarm going off.
Now when I am idling alarm goes off until I pump fuel bulb pressure. As soon as alarm starts squeeze bulb and alarm stops instantly until pressure drops.

Have done these checks so far. Found nipple connection on fuel module feed to plastic manifold running up the block to carbs to have a leak due to o-ring and plastic clip problem. (prev post) Have run with aux gas tank, new primer bulb, gas inlet has no quick disconnect on the motor so direct hose connection. Cleaned pulse sending unit on casing, new gas filter and all hose connections are tight. I can pump bulb and under max pressure no leaks. Problemm seemed to be after motor had been warmed up for a while. Could the fuel module which I think works like a fuel pump just be shot? Problem is definitely internal under the hood on this thing.

Thanks

Any Ideas on cost for complete new fuel Module? And can I order complete or is it broken down by components. Also is there a rebuild kit option.
Thanks

Still no luck on this issue. Is there a way to verify fuelmodule function. At idle in the yard on muffs it will run perfect. Under any more of a load fuel restiction alarm goes off every time.Have ruled out everything up to the inlet connection and checked all fuel and oil hose connections on.Can I hook a pressure gauge up to test at low RPM. Manual shows hook up but what type Vac gauge can I use? Can I get at local NAPA auto etc. Season is just about over and I I'm ready sink this thing.

Thanks

It still sounds as if you are sucking air into the system.Replace your hoses.A small leak in your hose will suck air and at low or very high rpm will cause the fuel level in your carb bowl to go down to the point where your alarm goes off.

Did you try running with gas cap loose?

Thanks guys, replaced all hoses and round style tie wraps, cleaned filter, pulse limmiter, have tried internal tank with all new lines, Aux portable tank with new lines bulb, etc. This ones got me baffled. At idle after a few min primer bulb looses pressure and alarm goes off. one squeeze on the bulb and its good for a few more minutes.

Thanks, I'll look into the rebuild kit. New module I found out is around $ 300.00 Everything is plastic so should be just O rings and gaskets I would think. Is there a needle valve in that unit or only in the carbs?

Re: Update 9/6 Still Fuel problem, Help!

I think I have found problem after all testing I did and now could kick my self. I tried to figure a way to check fuel pump and came up with what I think proved it to be fine. While engine is running I pinched gas line prior to the primer bulb. As it ran the bulb collapsed to almost flat and my alarm triggered. As soon as I released and pumped once alarm stopped. To me looks like pump is pulling fuel. So I went back to basics and started over. As I pulled Main fuel filter,(coned screen) that goes into vapor seperator I noticed a small peice of what looked to be an O-ring. From what I can tell as I found the rest of it in two peices that may be the culpret. The filter if I am correct looks like there should be an O-ring and a flat rubber seal that should be there. I am going to pick parts up today and hope that is it as it seems obvious. The ring must have been broken for a while as when I checked filter originally I only saw the flat ring. Does this sound right?
Any way If not I bought a brand new fuel Module before I found this. Never hurts to have spare parts ..
Thanks

Re: Update 9/6 Still Fuel problem, Help!

Finally Success.... Took boat out yesterday and ran thru 18 gal of gas. start, stop,Idle, run hard pulling kids on tube with no problems. Final fix seemed to be a combination of problem with O-ring on fuel filter and as well updated Pulse limiter to a blue colored (updated version) from the original Black one. Also changed all plastic fuel line clamps to stainless hose clamps. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but very happy with yesterdays performance that I may finally have it. Of course at the end of the season.
Thanks for input from all.

V12Mac, I've been following your thread and can relate to your the frustration. This one has plagued me all summer. Good luck with yours, This forum is great and I'm trying to learn as much as I can. Between manual and the site I'm learning my motor inside and out pretty well.I will be curious to see if switch takes care of it for you. Again good luck.

Thanks
