What's wrong with this FICHT

We have a 1998 115 Johnson ficht (fuel injected), and something has gone wrong with it the check engine light stays on all the time and it burn my whole oil jug to 20 gals of gas!<br /><br />(This motor is all computerized so it's out of my hands)<br /><br />If anyone has any sollution to this let me know?

What is the capcity of your oil reservoir? How many ounces will it hold?<br /><br />At a 50:1 - 20 gallons of gas should use 51 ounces (.4 gallon)of oil.

if check engine light is on ecu will store a service code to read code remove throttle position sensor turn on key hold little arm as far over as possible check engine light will flash codes or take to dealer and have them hook up laptop to read codes if no codes may be defective gauge<br />using too much oil could be pinched oil return hose stuck injector blow lift pump diaphram

The oil reservoir is a little better than one gallon.

I will check those things, I'd bring to dealer but it's on a 32' pontoon w/ no trailer!<br /><br />p.s are the injector the same as cleaning injectors for a car?

sorry should say blown lift pump diaphram where in ontario?<br />injectors are not the same as automotive only fuel additives to use are:2+4 fuel conditioner and fuel system cleaner<br />other possibility is oil injector leaking: there is an update on the o'ring inside injector

I'm in levack... also i forgot to mention when i do go to start it the beeper stays on for 1 min.

horn should sound for 10 secs or so with check engine light on<br />also possible a temp sensor is disconnected or out of range and motor is always in "wet down cycle" you need to find out what codes are stored<br />may be water in fuel remove filter and dump out reinstall<br />if not water look at all wires be sure they are connected if you don't find problem find a dealer willing to make a service call
