Operating manual for bass boat

I bought a used 89Champion bass boat, but it didn't come with an operating manual. Anybody know where I can find one?<br />johndi

A bass boat manual is useless. The men that use those never open the instructions first. That way 4 years down the line when the bass fishing is slow they can read all about how easy it is to use a piece of equipment that person had no idea they had! <br /><br />BTW Welcome to iBoats!!!

First, welcome to the board. Great bunch of guys! You have found out that we tend to be a bit Smart A** quicker than most though, must be the phase of the moon. <br /><br />Quite a number of Bass fishermen here now also.<br /><br />As to the owners manual, You just take the boat to the lake, launch it with the plug in, and push and pull and flip switches and watch what they do. The livewell system will be your biggest problem figuring out. Then when you have a question, come back and ask away.

John, You can get a shop manual for the outboard, probably an online manual for the fishfinders and maybe one for the trolling motor. Otherwise, you're looking at the greatest interactive boat manual there is. Just type your question in plain English and watch the replies roll in. Pick the one you like best, and there you are.<br /><br />Do bass boats actually come with manuals? I never saw one.<br /><br />welcome!<br /><br />jtw

I am sorry Lube normally I don't smart off unless they have 100 posts and on the First post I like to Welcome them and give them the best advice and sometimes none at all if I really don't know.<br /><br />If your new to boating you can take a USCG course.<br />This will help you learn the rules of the water.

Thanks for all the comments guys. Great group. I guess I'll just have to find it out by trial and error. I just hope the errors dont sink the boat.When I have a specific question, I'll be back to get some answers. Thanks again<br />johndi
