V drive, driveway running!

I just made the neatest device for running a V drive in the driveway as far as getting water to it while running.<br /><br />I took a standard old toilet plunger and cut a 1" hole in it, then put a through hill water outlet fitting, (bilge pump outlet), in it. I the screwed a fitting from the hardware store to the end of that so I could screw a hose onto it. I just wedged it up under the boat over the water pickup and turned on the water, It worked like a champ.

Wait a minute. This is already on the market. My mechanic tried to sell me one last week. And I just saw a picture posted of one on one of these forums...................

Yeah, they come with a telescoping shaft so that it can be adjusted to fit various boats.<br /><br />I hate when I invent things that have already been invented. Makes me feel smart and stupid at the same time . . . :D

Yes they call that item the "fake-a-lake" sells for about 50 USD. I think he got off cheaper than I did. But the telescoping rod is cool.<br />Later,
