Hey everyone,<br /><br />I was wondering if anyone knows where I could purchase a replacement transom mount for a 1976 Evinrude 115 horse. I have said motor, but the mount is in pretty bad condition. <br /><br />Short of replacing the whole thing, has anyone here ever rebuilt this type of mount (with the twin gas pistons) successfully? I had to cut out the lower ends of the pistons because no amount of wd-40 would loosen their mounting bolts. Didn't see that as a big deal since I could just run a bronze rod through them both to hook them back in, but the upper end is giving me TONS of trouble, and I'm not sure the same fix will work.<br /><br />Any suggestions would be great.
