Can anyone tell me what the part number is for the contact points. I had a Sierra # that I looked up somewhere, 18-5157, that I've been told is not correct.

ishopmarine.com then click on PARTS LIST, then choose johnson/evinrude, then choose your year, then your hp, then choose IGNITION ELECTRONICS and waa-laa

That's a pretty cool web site, except the breaker points listeed there as NA. I got the part number though, 383655. Any other ideas on where to find.

You may find what you are looking at mastertech marine they carry a good line of points for these older models. You might find them at you local johnnyrude dealer and if he does not have them he can order them for you and also check with you local napa auto parts store and they may have them of can get them for you. good luck
