Re: Flushing Adaptor for jet drive

If you're looking for a hose adapter for the threaded flush fitting right near the grease zirk , there are any number of hose adapters that fit in there. If your jet lower unit doesn't have this screw fitting, Outboard Jet (the makers) have directions for tapping one in.

If you're looking for something like the muffs that are used on a regular outboard, they don't make anything like that for jet outboards.

For the threaded fitting, I have a fancy, expensive quick release thing I bought at a boat shop, not knowing any better, but I've since then seen plain brass adapters that adapt a garden hose to this size threaded fitting. I **believe** that the screw fitting on the jet unit is a standard diameter 1/4 inch pipe thread. I **think** what you're looking for would be called a Female Hose Thread to 1/4" Male Pipe Thread adapter.

I'm not absolutely sure about that, but that's what I'd try if I needed a new one. You could check it out. Good luck.

I have an OMC part # 435299, "Jet Flushing Device", that is brand new. I believe this is what are looking for. It was purchased in July for about $30USD.

I don't need it so if you'd like it let me know and maybe we can work something out.
