hi, I am working on removing the trim unit from my 1990 175 mariner and I cant seem to figure out how to detatch the top portion of the ram (cylinder) from the motor. It appears to have some type of pin that runs trough it to hold it on and on one end of the pin is slotted like a screwdriver or something is needed to remove it. This trim I think is called a 3 ram model, it has 2 smaller rams and 1 large one that actually does the lifting. Thanks. chesapeake

Welcome Chesapeake! I'm going to move your post over to Merc/Mariner prepair forum. You will get the help you need there.
