I bought this gorgeous classic mid 70s Boston Whaler yesterday. The engine runs great, but the previous owner made it clear it could go at any time. He also stated that the fuel oil ratio was 25 to 1. I am not sure this is right. I need to refuel today, not sure what to do. Cannot reach him. Looking for advise. Thanks!! Also, I will be leaving the boat in my garage for up to 6 months at a time. Any storage tips, especially for the engine? Thanks again!

Welcome to the forum!

Fuel mix should be 50:1. One pint of Tw3 oil to six gallons 87 octane gas.

If you will read FAQ's you find answers to many of your questions. Such as storage.

Good luck!

A big thank you, Lee, for your response. I am using a mix of about 40 to 1 now, since the boat seems to run great with that mix, and the previous owner said he had experimented with several ratios and found this worked best.
