What year is my Evienrude..????

I Just recently purchased a 19 foot aquasport with a 115 Eninrude. I took the boat out for a spin and started having engine trouble. I need to know what year my motor is. The number in the welch plug is c7153561, and on the the transom the number of the model is E115tlCNB. any information would help greatly. Also the motor is light a light blueish teal. and is a 2 cycle on a 1983 boat.

OMC uses the word INTRODUCES - I being 1, N being 2 and so on. You use the two letters before the last one and apply it to INTRODUCES and get your year. You have CN before the last letter so in INTRODUCES you have an 8 and a 2, 1982 model year.
