Re: Thanks for the help II.

Thanks for the help! MCM, Paul Moir for helping me with a "to buy, or not to buy" with a '62 Seahorse 10. Thier input gave me both advice and confidence to make an educated decision. I got the engine and have the parts ordered for the carb and wtr. pump. I'd also like to send thanks to Joe Reeves who, unknowingly helped me by having his posts quoted everywhere for people to read. I learned to adjust the 2 screw carb and get this motor to run using one such quote.

Thanks again,
Patrick

Re: Thanks for the help II.

I had a WOT "sputter" in my '98 25 horse. Everyone that posted had good, inexpensive places to start. I ended up following the advise of Walker and SoLittle by rebuilding the carb, and it worked!

Thanks again to everyone who helped out - what a Blessing!!

rickdb1boat, OBJ & ob

Thank you for very quick responses to a very small question. I had a stuck shift rod and they helped figure out if it was a problem or not. For us newbies, these quick, thoughtfull responses are not only helpfull, but also encouraging. Thank you for a great site and community!!

BTW - shift rod was not jammed, I just didn't know how much force I could/should use!

Thanks as always, to OBJ, DJ, MCM, plus the many others that choose to give good advice instead of CAT ****!!! What's next, can't get cow patties? Thanks for keepin' it real, and keepin' the stereotype alive, boatwad.

No offense to the rest of ya'll north of the Mason-Dixon line. His attitude just confirms what a family friend from New England describes to us.

Mikey

Re: Thanks for the help II.

Thanks to all for the answers to my boat problems. I learned a lot about boat repair and boat motor repair from u guys on this site. Without the help and info from the people on this site my boating days would have ended before they started.

Re: Thanks for the help II.

This site is absolutely wonderful for rookies and those with experience alike. The best thing about it is you know your getting good sound advice from someone who isn't trying to stick you with a fat repair bill. You can tell these guys are professionals by the accuracy of their replies and the overwhelming satisfaction of other members. Great guys (and gals i'm sure) just tryin to help someone out.

I actually discovered that my engine was not getting any fuel due to having a Tempo brand gas tank and an Atwood brand priming hose. When I got the right hose hooked up, she fired on the second pull. What a relief. Even though it was my error and had nothing to do any kind of maintanence, I know where i'm coming first if any problems do arise. Thanks again Scott and Tashasdaddy. You guys are awesome.
