Outboard Engine Opinions Needed!

Im looking at a boat with a 2004 Evinrude Bombardier Ficht 150hp outboard. It is new under warranty. I do not know much about the engine so any imput would be very helpful.<br /><br />Thank you

Hi Islandfam,<br /><br />I am not first hand familiar with these motors, but from everything I have read on here, the later Ficht engines were fine. I believe it was the ones in the late 90's that were suspect. Others will know more...

I don't see complaints on the forums about John/Rude after BRP took over.
