1975 Johnson 75hp Stinger

The motor when I put ear muffs on it runs fine but when I put the boat in the water it starts fine but when I apply full throttle it bogs down and will not go to full throttle all though I have the control full forward. It on a rare occasion though will engage full throttle and run great but when I throttle down it does the same thing again. What could be my problem???

On an engine that age, do a comprresion, ignition, fuel test. It sounds like a fuel delivery problem.

Jeff, welcome to Iboats forum. Is the motor new to you? What maintenance has been done recently? I second R. Johnson, but after you do compression, ignition and carbs, consider a sync and link. Those 3 bangers are sensitive to timing and need to be very close to perfect but when they are hold on.
