1998 90hp rude

I am looking to get a boat with this motor and I was wondering ,isn't there a 60 degree and a 90degree 90hp. I had a 1987 90 hang a ring so i am not exactly a rude fan! was this a good model and yr. for rude?<br /><br /><br />thnx<br />mark

Late 90s were bad years for OMC QC, mark, but I would think a 9 year old engine had any build problems ironed out by now. The design was and is good.<br /><br />If it were NOS I wouldn't trust it, but it has run long enough to be trustworthy.
