White OMC Throttle Control

Hey y'all... I have a '87 Evinrude 140HP with a white OMC control, which won't operate right... a lot of slop. Where can I download a diagram to troubleshoot this? Also... where can I get the parts reasonable? If all fails, where can I get the whole control for under $100? Thanks, y'all!

Any idea where to get a book and/or schematic on this box, as well as gears+bearings? I don't know which route would be best. Rebuilding my box, or buying someone else's wore out box not knowing what to expect... especially from ebay these days! Lost a lot of $ on ebay lately!
