Gary (just re-found your post) Raise the engine all the way up, by hand if you have to, and support it there so you can take the tilt cylinder lose from the engine. There's just a pin you knock out to free the eye.<br /><br />Once the Tilt cylinder is freed from the engine, run the motor and see if the cylinder will go up and down. Probably will. With the trim and tilt cylinders fully extended, check the fluid reservoir. Add as needed and cycle the cylinders about 4>5 times and recheck the fluid level.<br /><br />If the cylinder does not work, either the cylinders pistion oring is shot, or a possibility is the up/down shuttle valve is not moving far.
