Re: 150 evinrude 60* lifting powerhead

if yours is anything like mine, there are some nuts you have to get off to. i have two forward and two aft. there are threaded studs that run down out of the powerhead and they attach to the exhaust housing by these nuts. also how are you trying to lift it? you have to pick straight up carefully to get the engine off of the gearshaft. that might feel like a hang up if you aren't lifting it straight up. hope that helps some.

Not a good job to be trying without the manual (Factory). But you can go onto the BRP site and at least print out the parts pictures.Print out the one that shows the base gasket, and count the holes.<br /><br />That tells you how many fasteners to remove.<br /><br />DHP

Could just be a gasket stuck with sealer then.<br /><br />DHP

Says:<br /><br />4 screws one nut on each side, Exhaust Housing to powerhead - total 10 pieces.<br /><br />At the rear, two screws and one nut ,powerhead to exhaust adapter - total 3 pieces.
