Guys, Being a greenhorn I knew I was bound to screw up sooner or later. I used the trolling battery to start my boat the other day, and then attempted to change over to the crank battery while to motor was running. The warning horn began to smoke and now it is fried. I have looked up the part number and it is #0583891.

I know I have to replace the horn, but what else should I check out due to this mistake?

Is there a way to test the rectifier?

I did the same thing about 10 years ago on a 48spl. Replace the horn and you should be fine.
