You might check the BRP evinrude site. If not there are numerous places on the web. Twincitiesoutboards comes to mind as a possibility.

Both items are still available

Vernatherm (thermostat) = 377276 (About $46.00)

Heat Sensor = 386686 (About $50.00)

I have a few of the heat sensors left in stock which I'd discount but no vernatherms, but check with this site (iboats) first for availability.

Re: 1964 Johnson 75 HP problems

I have a 64 Johnson Electramatic, I cant get it into neutral or get any spark. There is power going from the coil to the distributor, but from there there is nothing. As far as the shifting goes I ran al new wire from the boat to the motor, completly over-riding the wiring harness. It sounds like it changes gears but when the motor turns over, its still in gear. Please help if you have any information at all!

Thanks,
Nathan

1. Start a new thread and you will get more answers.
2. Check the breaker points and go from there
3. You evidently have a voltage applied to one of the blue/green shift wires when there shouldn't be. I have no idea why. Do you have the correct shift switch? Or is the lower unit full of water and rust??
